GT-RR Special Event – Day at the track!!
Track: Buttonwillow
Date: Saturday, March 10th.
This has been discussed for a long time… time to make it happen!

GT-RR and Speed Ventures have teamed up to prepare a special track day experience for GT-R owners.  This is a great chance to enjoy your GT-R’s performance the way it was intended, all without the risk of jail time.  All experience levels of drivers are welcome.

For $200 you will experience:
- Track day of high performance driving at Buttonwillow Raceway (5 Sessions, 120 minutes)
- Access to a GT-R only hospitality garage throughout the day
- A CD of professional photos of you driving your car driving on the track, your GT-R (and others) in the pits, and a group shot of all of the GT-Rs
- A transponder rental for the day to record your lap times
- A catered lunch
- A free raffle ticket
- The chance to win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place trophy for fastest GT-R of the event

There will be fast GT-Rs, slow GT-Rs and people of all experience levels. The plan for the day is simply to have fun and hang out with other GT-R owners. We encourage everyone to go at their own speed and to enjoy their cars in a great environment surrounded with friends.

For an additional $35 per car there are an additional 6 garage spaces available. They are offered on a first come first served basis.

We’ve been itching to see these… A very special brake setup for a R34 GT-R time attack project we’ve been working on with our client Drew.  We had Brembo custom build this setup which is not found in their catalog.  The fronts are 8 piston race calipers with titanium pistons and 380mm rotors.  Pretty special brakes!  It is nice to know that they’ll be put to good use!  That same car is getting an Amuse R1000 turbo back race exhaust too!

Here is a video taken last month at R’s Meeting in Japan. This video gives the best impression of what it was like to be there. In the video you’ll see me walk through perhaps the most epic parking lot of GT-Rs ever, starting with R34 GT-Rs and working back in time all the way to the legendary Hakosuka GT-R, all set to a musical backdrop tribute to the late great Japanese musician Nujabes.
