The work of art you see above is a purpose built machine resulting in a brutal fusion of 1400 whp housed within a 2266 lb Mitsubishi Evo. Just think about that power to weight ratio for a second…

I’m admittedly not a fan of drag racing, which is ultimately what this beast is all about. But I am someone who appreciates a quality built machine, and this particular car oozes quality that can be appreciated regardless of whether drag racing is your thing or if you’re like me and you appreciate turning left and right once in a while.

Magnus JR Mitsubishi Evo 8 Drag Car

The above picture is the result of approximately 2 years of R&D done by JR Motorsport. You see the MoTec ECU’s, data acquisition system, data-logger on the steering wheel, full mil-spec harness, tons of dry carbon fiber and that particular dry carbon shifter lever along with the dry carbon harmonic brake assembly. The quality of parts is phenomenal on their own but its really the attention to detail in the car’s build up that has earned me greatest respect.

When I saw the picture above I seriously started laughing. I was in disbelief. I mean, look at it ! You open the rear doors and this is what greets you.
You see the two nitrous oxide bottles secured to the chassis, the rear differential, the carbon fiber B-Pillar, push-rod style suspension along with its telemetry system attached to it, and that beautiful tube chassis. Hours of painstaking R&D and engineering went into this chassis ! It’s just mind-blowing.
I don’t have much else to say in regard of this build. Words can’t describe how well executed this car is!
